February 24, 2015 – Radix Bay, a world-class business IT consulting and solutions provider, announced the expansion of a project to provide managed services and server migration for a US transportation company.
After losing support services for their aging hardware and software systems, the client turned to Radix Bay for stabilization, support and incident response. Radix Bay consultants defined and implemented preventative maintenance initiatives, greatly reducing the number of incidents being handled.
The Radix Bay team also successfully moved the client’s data warehouse servers and test servers to a hosted data center in order to reduce costs and improve system-wide efficiencies. Radix Bay was also asked to assess the current server hardware and develop an interim plan for new systems until software changes and data migrations can be completed over the next several years.
The benefits delivered in this assessment project led to a second phase of work to set up and install the new servers in order to improve the reliability and performance of servers at the company’s busiest terminals.
“We have been thoroughly pleased with the outstanding support provided by Radix Bay in stabilizing our infrastructure and successfully moving our data centers without incident,”said the Director of IT for the client’s operations in North America.
“We look forward to expanding our support after delivering the kind of quality services and performance our clients have come to expect from Radix Bay”,said Greg Lovette, CEO of Radix Bay. “By leading the effort to install new servers, our consultants will provide the client with hardware reliability that is critical for their operations.”
Radix Bay’s managed services resulted in increased server and database reliability and efficiency. It also allowed the client’s IT team to focus on strategic technology initiatives.
